Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where is twrobertsphotos located?

We’re based in the Washington, DC metro area and serve clients throughout the DMV — including Maryland and Northern Virginia. Studio and on-location sessions are available by appointment only.

2. What is cinematic portraiture?

Cinematic portraiture is photography that feels like a movie still — bold lighting, rich tones, and expressive posing that tell a story. Each image is styled and directed to capture emotion, personality, and atmosphere.

3. What types of sessions do you offer?

We specialize in three signature experiences:

  • Cinematic Portraits: Artistic, editorial-style sessions that highlight your story.

  • Men’s Fashion Portraits: Suited looks, personal branding, or modern GQ-inspired sessions.

  • Senior Portraits: Timeless, cinematic images that celebrate personality and milestone moments.

4. How do I book a session?

You can book directly through our Beyond Ordinary page. Simply share your session type and preferred date, and we’ll follow up within 24–48 hours to confirm details and availability.

5. How should I prepare for my shoot?

After booking, you’ll receive a personalized prep guide that covers wardrobe tips, grooming, and what to expect the day of your session. We’ll also discuss your vision, styling goals, and location preferences beforehand.

6. How long does a session last?

Most sessions range from 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the type of shoot and number of looks. Extended or editorial sessions may run longer for styling and location changes.

7. When will I receive my photos?

You’ll receive a private online gallery within 7–10 business days of your shoot. From there, you can download, share, and select your favorite images for retouching or printing.

8. Do you offer professional retouching?

Yes. Every final image is retouched by hand to maintain natural texture and cinematic depth — never overly airbrushed or artificial. The goal is to enhance your look, not change who you are.

9. Can I bring outfit changes or props?

Absolutely. We encourage wardrobe changes to capture different moods and styles. Bring any accessories, jackets, or items that represent your personality or profession.

10. Do you travel for photoshoots?

Yes — travel within the DMV is included in most sessions. For locations outside the region, additional travel fees may apply. Contact us for custom arrangements.

11. What if I’ve never done a photoshoot before?

No worries — most of our clients are not professional models. You’ll receive full direction on posing, expression, and angles to make sure you look and feel confident throughout the session.

12. How do payments and deposits work?

A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due on the day of your session. We accept major credit cards and secure online payments.

13. Can I order prints or albums?

Yes. Every client receives full printing rights plus access to high-quality prints, wall art, and albums through your private gallery store.

14. Do you photograph couples?

While we specialize in men’s fashion and senior portraits, cinematic sessions are open to everyone who connects with our editorial style. Reach out to discuss your vision.

15. What makes twrobertsphotos different?

We don’t just take pictures — we direct scenes. Every session is crafted with cinematic storytelling, luxury styling, and attention to emotion. The result? Portraits that look like art and feel like legacy.
